Three illustrative outlines of what a YURAGI journey looks like on the ground. None of them is a package — every journey we run is designed from scratch around the client.

Six nights · Coast to capital

The essential arc — Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Nara and Osaka — with signature access woven through: a stable's morning practice, sushi at the counter, an evening in Gion.

  • Days 1–2 · Tokyo — Imperial Palace, a stable's morning sumo practice, Tsukiji, sushi-making with a chef.
  • Day 3 · Hakone — Owakudani, ropeway, Lake Ashi cruise — then an onsen ryokan.
  • Days 4–5 · Kyoto — Arashiyama bamboo (early), Kinkaku-ji, Fushimi Inari, an evening with a Gion maiko.
  • Day 6 · Nara & Osaka — Tōdai-ji and the deer park, then Osaka.
  • Day 7 · Depart — Private transfer to Kansai International (KIX).

Ten nights · The classic route, taken quietly

The golden route with room to breathe — Nikko's cedar forests and a second Hakone night added, so each city is met at its own pace rather than rushed between.

  • Days 1–2 · Tokyo — The capital in counterpoint — dawn at a working sumo stable, the quiet gardens between the icons, sushi-making with a chef.
  • Day 3 · Nikko — Tōshō-gū and shrines in cedar forest, waterfalls and mountain scenery — a private-car day north of Tokyo.
  • Days 4–5 · Hakone & Mt. Fuji — Lake Ashi, ropeway and Owakudani, with two nights at an onsen ryokan.
  • Days 6–8 · Kyoto — Arashiyama bamboo (early), zazen one-to-one with a monk at Daisen-in, a private tea ceremony in a machiya, an evening with a Gion maiko.
  • Day 9 · Nara — Tōdai-ji, the deer park and Japan's first capital, unhurried — evening arrival in Osaka.
  • Day 10 · Osaka — Food-first Osaka with a private guide — the natural last night.
  • Day 11 · Depart — Private transfer to Kansai International (KIX).

Four nights · Kyoto in depth

For clients who have done the circuit — or want only its heart. One city, four nights, and the crafts and rituals that only happen here.

  • Day 1 · Arrive Kyoto — Private transfer, check-in, and Gion at dusk with your guide.
  • Day 2 · Ritual — Arashiyama bamboo (early), then zazen one-to-one with the monk at Daisen-in, Daitoku-ji; hanko carving with a Kyoto craftsman in the afternoon.
  • Day 3 · Craft & Gion — A private tea ceremony in a machiya tea room, Fushimi Inari late afternoon, then a maiko evening — private room, no other guests.
  • Day 4 · Nara — Tōdai-ji and the deer park as a day trip — or a second craft morning in Kyoto.
  • Day 5 · Depart — Private transfer to Kansai International (KIX).
